Darryl Joyner

6'2 1/2 275. Darryl has D1 and pro potential. I do not say that about all my guys. Got 2 sacks against Lance Renson (UNC Commit), 1.5 Sacks and 3 TFL vs Marshall Lowns (Texas Commit). Darryl is competitive and the better the competition the better he plays. He was the heart and leader of our defense. When he was off the field our defense took a huge hit. Great kid, hard working, hangs out with good kids, great family. Really his only weakness is health. Sprained both MCLs on separate occassions and miss 3 games in each of his last two seasons. With a good athletic trainer and good health, there is no ceiling to this kid

Darryl is a high charactr, hard working division one prospect who is still fresh in his development. He made huge leaps from his 10th grade year to his 11th grade year. He had 10 sacks as an interior linemen. Faced Power 5 commits and battled well. Needs to develop pass rushing for the next level as well as lateral quickness but there is no reason why he can't play in a power 5 conference.
